LFW 09

So, I admit I haven't really kept up to date with the autumn/winter shows, but today I finally got round to having a quick look on style.com. Doing battle with a very slow broadboad whilst still a three hour train ride away from London itself, and oh, still being in school, is not quite the same as being there, but I can wish. The pictures are probably best viewed a little larger, but here are just a few favourites. What were your favourite shows?

Firstly, the Erdem show. To be quite honest, I haven't really ever liked the designer before, but after seeing reports on both Afeitar and WishWishWish, I decided to check it out. The shape of those dresses is amazing, and I love the lace, the jewel colours and the florals, almost everything about the collection actually. And the buns!

I didn't really like it as much as last years A/W, but Luella didn't fail to impress either. In particular, I loved all the little military details - I think I'm slightly obsessed actually! Also the two grey dresses are lovely, really simple and I love them with the bags and boots, hopefully Topshop should make some similar come Autumn! AND PIXIE GELDOF!?

Right now, I'm off to watch Gossip Girl! xoxo

Mi dispiace

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, spent the last few days of my holiday going crazy doing artwork for school, and weather has been awful here so couldn't really take any pictures. Was back in today but hasn't been great, hopefully a few little things should sort themselves out soon. I will post pictures sometime this week too, I really need to get a decent picture of myself on here. For the profile and stuff, I'm not vain. Honest!

Isn't Alexa Chung beautiful? I absolutely love her style.

the air is so thick and opaque

Thanks everyone for those last few comments, made my day.

Haven't really had an interesting day today, went into Plymouth with my mum for a little bit of shopping and Starbucks, didn't spend much but I did manage to find some really awesome red skinnies in the kids section of H&M (sometimes I really enjoy being short), and I got some patent silver shoes - sort of like converse hi-tops - in Primark. I'm not really sure if I like them all that much, perhaps I'll post some pictures in the morning. If any, what sort of trainers/sneakers do you wear?

Otherwise, I haven't really done a lot today, since I've been home haven't really felt too good, so I apologise for the rather uninspiring post. I'll leave you with a mini-playlist, just of a few songs I've been listening to recently, to cheer me up.

Around the Bend - The Asteroids Galaxy Tour (yes, it is from the iPod ads)
The Cure - Close to Me
Modest Mouse - Float On
The Virgins - Rich Girls

Finally, talking of music, I should be going to see Bloc Party live in October, with one of my best friends, I'm so excited! P.S. The title of this post is from another song, anyone care to guess...? I think it's a really lovely line (:

Hello out there.

My first post... ahhh! Despite the fact that I'm just sat at home with my laptop like I'd normally be, I'm really rather scared. I'll try not to bore you with a really long first post, so here goes...
Well then, I decided to start a blog for two reasons: I've been reading them religiously for a few months now, and just wanted to try myself, and after an infinite number of attempts at diaries, journals, scrapbooks etc, I thought a blog might be more successful. I really don't know how to start this off, and to be very honest with you I really don't know what I'm doing at all.

Anyway, to start things off I think I better introduce myself properly. I'm Kate, I'm fourteen and I'm from Devon, in the south west of England, which isn't great, but it has its perks. I'm currently obsessed with Teenvogue and Nylon, coffee (as you might have guessed), anything with bows, stripes, or checks, Topshop, UO and H&M, PostSecret, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Chanel and Luella.

Hopefully this blog will mainly revolve around style and shopping, but also with the occasional post on music, art, and just generally whatever I've been up to. I'm not promising anything special, but I'll try my best! Kate x
