Wouldn't it be sweet if you could die from a broken heart

Thanks for all your congratulatory comments on my last post, it was really nice to see them this morning! Here's a picture from yesterday, as promised. I had given up on my heels by this point, but oh well. Dress: Topshop, Shoes: New Look.

Today I've done rather a lot of coursework and updated my iPod a bit, so it wasn't too bad really. What did you get up to today? x

You don't need eyes to see if someone's got a heart of glass

Sorry I haven't posted since I got back, or much at all recently. I really am an appallingly bad blogger. I think in the future I'm gonna try and just post little things, but more often, does that sound OK? Tomorrow I have the wedding I've been going on about, so should be able to get some pictures for you all, and today I got some exam results (3A*s and an A!), so I reckon a celebratory shopping trip may be in order soon...

Anyways here are a couple newish song obsessions, tell me what you think (:

Orange ribbons in her hair

Got back from Portugal last night. It was actually much better than I thought it would be, spent two weeks sunbathing, swimming in the sea and just generally relaxing. Read three and a half books, listened to a whole lotta music, and drank a really ridiculous amount of mango ice tea. Also, managed to get quite a few wolf whistles (should I feel good about that?), a free nectarine from an old lady who thought I was Swedish, and for what seems like the first time in my life, an actual tan! x

Ocean breathes salty

Recently I received an email from the team over at CovertCandy. It was set up at the beginning of this year, and already has over 3500 members. The idea is you rifle through your wardrobe for things you no longer wear, photograph them and upload to the site. People then trade 'credits' for your items which you can use to 'buy' other things from the site. There's loads of things I've got my eye on already so I need to get uploading! They also sell hand-sourced vintage clothes through the site so you can buy direct if trading isn't your thing.

Thanks for all your comments on my last post - I'm all packed now and pretty much ready to go (: I've just started reading Middlesex, which is by Jeffery Eugenides, the same guy who wrote The Virgin Suicides. It's pretty long for me (550 pages?) but at the moment I'm really enjoying it. I also got The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time, and a couple other books to read whilst I'm away which is good...

I doubt that I'll be able to get to a computer whilst I'm in Portugal, but I'l make sure to take lots of pictures and I'll see you in two weeks! x

He catches raindrops from his window they remind him how we fall

Seem to have gotten a few new followers recently. Salut.

I went shopping with Mother today, got some rather nice stuff for my holiday, an oversized, slightly sheer t-shirt dress thing from H&M (though it is the most wonderful AA copy) and another pair of fake wayfarers to add to my collection. Also bought this dress which is for a wedding, but I'm pretty sure i'm going to be wearing it a lot after that, especially come winter with tights (did I mention how excited about winter I am?). Anyways here it is...

Anyways, back to 'the holiday'. Am off to Portugal (and possibly Spain also) on Saturday! Really need to update the iPod though, any suggestions of what I should put on there? Also am going to the library tomorrow, have decided to have a look for Franny and Zooey and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (thanks Kait!) but if you have any more recommendations that'd be great, I tend to read a lot on holiday (:

Finally I feel like posting something really random, but weheartit is failing me tonight, so here's a quote from Chuck Palahnuik...

"Your handwriting. The way you walk. Which china pattern you choose. It's all giving you away. Everything you do shows your hand. Everything is a self-portrait. Everything is a diary."
