This fear's got a hold on me

Recently I have received a few tags, the first from the lovely Holly at Fawned and the second an award from Phoebe at Cross Your Fingers. Thank you so much to both of you! They both have beautiful blogs, you should have a look! I think I am required to list some things, but to be honest I don't really have much to say other than the fact I'm going to Thailand in one week! Have some pretty pictures instead (:

Most of these are just old ones that have been on my memory stick for ages so I'm sorry I don't know where they're from. Now I'm going to tag Emma, Lottie and Becca! x

P.S. Both Aindrea at Fashionista du Jour and Hannah at London Rose are holding competitions at the moment, enter and you could win a £25 or £50 Topshop voucher!

House made of paper

A few weeks ago I discovered this great site, Fashion Confidential, and I was just wondering if any of you had heard of it before?

It sells designer clothing, through stores like Matches and Net-a-Porter, so you can easily browse a massive selection of clothes, shoes and bags. There is literally hundreds of designers to choose from, including Burberry, Balmain, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood to name but a few.

However what makes it different is that there's so much more than shopping. This site doesn't just sell, but it helps you find ideas and great bargains both on the web and on the high street. The boutique directory is full of old favourites, as well as great new stores, and the Bargain Hunter section is genius. It has details of all the best designer sample sales and a calendar showing all the dates. It also picks out the best individual items from websites like The Outnet, Matches Style Steals and Browns Labels for Less.

The Style Report section is essentially a blog of the site, full of beautiful photos and celebrity inspiration, I'm already addicted! Also one of the editorial features at the moment is an interview with the designers from Preen, which I loved reading, and there's also a little list of blogs I'm sure you'll love if you don't already know them!

However my favourite part of the website is definitely the new magazine. Although I love savouring a good issue of Vogue, I think online magazines, or e-zines, are the future and this one is great. It contains loads of catwalk photos, style tips, designer interviews and the hottest new pieces all linked to stores where you can buy them. This month's issue is packed full of great Christmas gifts and outfit ideas - if only I could afford some of it!

I hope you enjoyed this post - now click here to visit Fashion Confidential!

Meccano

Finally, an actual post about London Fashion Week! This is probably the weirdest selection of designers ever, but here are just a couple of shows that caught my eye (it's probably best to click on the pictures to make them bigger)...

LUELLA. I didn't think this was quite as good as their last few collections, but still gorgeous. All the heart shapes, polka dots, bows... And Alexa Chung has worn that last dress already!

LOUISE GRAY. New to LFW I believe, but definitely 'one to watch'. It's all so fun and colourful, and that first dress is just epic!

CHRISTOPHER KANE. Definitely really different to Luella and Louise Gray, but still amazing. The gingham and lace and everything together; beautiful yet dark at the same time.

Of course that's only three, a few more favourites were Erdem, Clements Ribeiro and Vivienne Westwood (: I have quite a few ideas for future posts so keep checking back! x

Ocean breathes salty

Recently I received an email from the team over at CovertCandy. It was set up at the beginning of this year, and already has over 3500 members. The idea is you rifle through your wardrobe for things you no longer wear, photograph them and upload to the site. People then trade 'credits' for your items which you can use to 'buy' other things from the site. There's loads of things I've got my eye on already so I need to get uploading! They also sell hand-sourced vintage clothes through the site so you can buy direct if trading isn't your thing.

Thanks for all your comments on my last post - I'm all packed now and pretty much ready to go (: I've just started reading Middlesex, which is by Jeffery Eugenides, the same guy who wrote The Virgin Suicides. It's pretty long for me (550 pages?) but at the moment I'm really enjoying it. I also got The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time, and a couple other books to read whilst I'm away which is good...

I doubt that I'll be able to get to a computer whilst I'm in Portugal, but I'l make sure to take lots of pictures and I'll see you in two weeks! x

I love Jack White like a little brother

If you want to know, my weekend has pretty much been going as planned and I guess now I'm about halfway through my book (:

All these pictures are from my new favourite streetstyle blog, the streethearts. There's just something about guys in glasses and trenchcoats, isn't there?

Ok so the last one isn't wearing glasses nor is he wearing a trenchcoat, but hey. He's cute and I loveee the braces! x

Do the D A N C E

Thanks for all your comments, my art exam wasn't too bad in the end, although five hours of not speaking to anyone felt pretty weird!

What are you all up to this weekend? I think all I'm really going to be doing this weekend is reading more of The Catcher In The Rye, drinking a lot of green tea (I have become rather obsessed recently) and possibly writing letters to some of the Thai students, which should be nice (: I guess that leaves me with rather a lot of time for blogging though, so keep checking back folks! x

PS. This is my new favourite blog of the week.

You're supposed to care

I changed things around a bit. I think I prefer it, what about you? I really really want this t-shirt by wildfox right now, though sadly £60 is a small fortune for me atm (I never did get that job). Still I did manage a quick look around the website last night. Aren't these ad campaigns amazing?

Not even if death were good

4000 hits, yay!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. I've been away in Cornwall for a few days, and last night I went out to a party which wasn't really a party, hahaa. Today was the last day of the holidays, and next week I have two exams, a job interview and a speaking and listening coursework thing, ahhh. Just wish me luck (:

I think I might make myself an etsy account soon (buying, not selling, I'm not remotely talented!), has anyone got any sellers they can recommend? Jewellery, accessories, books, anything. Oh and I made myself a tumblr the other day, hopefully at some point this week I'll get round to using it! x

P.S. I've just started listening to the band ra ra riot, they're awesome and totally not as hardcore as they sound! I found them here, my new  favourite blog of the week (:

She lives on disillusion road

I've loved Ali Michael since I first saw her on a Teen Vogue cover last year, which was one of the first (the fourth, to be precise) issues I bought (:

Now I'm on half term, so there shall be better posts and more pictures, hopefully! I think I might be going to Cornwall for a little bit with my cousins, and perhaps to a party or two, so I think it's going to be pretty good. Then again I do have chemistry, physics, art and music exams when I go back, ahh! You up to anything much over half term? x

photos:altamira, yes?

PS. I know I plug Rosie's blog rather often, but read this. It was hilarious at the time. You WILL laugh.

PPS. I just found out I won a Topshop necklace in a competition on the fabulous blog geisharock (: I'm not sure what it's like yet, but I've just sent  her all my details, super excited about the surprise now! I'd really like to do a giveaway, but I just don't know what to literally give away. Any ideas of what you'd like to see? And I was wondering what you want to see on this blog, just generally? Ideas please!

I hear in my mind all this music, and it breaks my heart, and it breaks my heart

Here is my new flickr favourite, @Maco.  Each one of her pictures is absolutely beautiful.

My polaroid came today, I'm so excited about using it!

T-shirt - New Look, Necklace - Mum! (probably Accessorize), Jeans - River Island, trashed myself, Blazer - Bershka, Portugal (:

Aaaand I thought I'd tell you I'm now on lookbook. Thanks Bryanboy, ilysm!
