A film I watched recently

is Le Fils de l'epicier (The Grocers Son). Sadly I couldn't find very many stills online but it is honestly one of the most beautiful films I've ever seen. The main character is gorgeous too ♥

An album I've listened to recently

is Two Suns by Bat for Lashes. Well actually I bought it a while ago, and I just haven't got around to posting it, but it is amazing. I really want to get her debut when I come back, that's meant to be even better.

A photo I took recently

on the train. If I'm honest I really haven't taken enough pictures recently but I found this earlier when clearing my camera. It was taken whilst on the train back from my boyfriend's house last weekend (hence the grubbiness), which is always a sad journey, but that bit there is really beautiful.

A book I'm reading

Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. Even though I'm only half way through and probably too young to understand it properly, I can honestly say that irregardless of its storyline, it's the most beautifully written book I've ever read.

And finally

a pretty dress because this post wouldn't be complete without one aha! You can get this in three colours, but I think the blue's my favourite, I really want to get it when I get home! Oh and it's from Topshop, obviously!

What are you doing Sunday baby?

I just saw this video on nmeTV and had to post it, I love Lightspeed Champion so much! I saw him (with Alexa Chung actually...) at T4 on the Beach two years ago and have loved him ever since. Just look at those hats! I guess this song is quite different from his older stuff, much more varied in terms of instruments and just generally poppier but I'm still quite excited about his new album. It's on my list of pre-orders now, along with Marina and the Diamonds, Los Campesinos! and Laura Marling♥

Anyways, before I pop off to bed I just wanted to let you know after I wrote my last post, the lovely people at vouchercodes.co.uk sent me a £40 Topshop giftcard! Now I just need to decide what to spend it on, there's been so much lovely spring stock in recently no? I am going into Plymouth on Saturday though so I'm pretty sure I'll have spent it by then haha! Vouchercodes has great online codes for stores like ASOS, MyWardrobe, and Liberty, as well as printable vouchers for restaurants like Pizza Express, so you can afford to shop and eat out! I've got a lot of things to look forward to this year (like Thailand and America!) but that also means I'll be needing to save lots of money when updating my wardrobe. Here are my top five picks for 2010, all under £40.

1. LACE DRESS, £38, TOPSHOP.

Lace has already proven to be big this winter, and I predict the trend will continue this spring, in lighter, softer shades of pink and cream. I love this dress so much, it's perfectly girly and looks just like Alexa's!

2. FLORAL SKATER DRESS, £25, NEW LOOK

Skater dresses + florals = that's going to be a winner right? I saw someone wearing this dress on lookbook, then looked it up to find it was only £25, so I think it's my favourite I've seen yet!

3. FLORAL LEGGINGS, £20, TOPSHOP

I've always been a fan of florals and I think these leggings would look great with everything, from bright t-shirts and blazers to simple black bodycon, so I think they're pretty good for £20! Only problem is which colour to choose?

4. BRETON TOP, £18, ASOS

Breton tops are a great basic to have in your wardrobe and are always chic, if you haven't got one already I suggest you move this to top of your list!

5. ALPHABET TIGHTS, £10, HOUSE OF HOLLAND AT URBAN OUTFITTERS

Tights are probably the easiest way to update your look and these are available in loads of crazy cool designs elsewhere on the internet as well, all at a bargain price. Plus THEY'RE BY HENRY HOLLAND!

Planes and trains and cars

Here's my Christmas wishlist... lots of clothes from Topshop and Urban Outfitters, Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones in pink, cute little necklaces, a few new-ish albums, the Nylon Street book, Marc Jacobs Lola, pretty underwear, Polaroid film and some new glasses. I can only hope, haha. What's on your wishlist this year?

I spent the weekend with my boyfriend and my two best friends (separately, not all together), which was lovely, and so far this weeks been gooood. I'm definitely going back to Thailand now, in February next year! The flights are all booked up and everything; I'm actually so excited I could burst. Also I now have my ticket, and dress for Bloc Party. It's this one, though I promise I'll post some pictures soon...

Why does Urban Outfitters have to be so expensive? And why do they have to bring out such nice new stuff just as I have money, and have to save it? x

I changed things around a bit. I think I prefer it, what about you? I really really want this t-shirt by wildfox right now, though sadly £60 is a small fortune for me atm (I never did get that job). Still I did manage a quick look around the website last night. Aren't these ad campaigns amazing?
