Ocean breathes salty

Recently I received an email from the team over at CovertCandy. It was set up at the beginning of this year, and already has over 3500 members. The idea is you rifle through your wardrobe for things you no longer wear, photograph them and upload to the site. People then trade 'credits' for your items which you can use to 'buy' other things from the site. There's loads of things I've got my eye on already so I need to get uploading! They also sell hand-sourced vintage clothes through the site so you can buy direct if trading isn't your thing.

Thanks for all your comments on my last post - I'm all packed now and pretty much ready to go (: I've just started reading Middlesex, which is by Jeffery Eugenides, the same guy who wrote The Virgin Suicides. It's pretty long for me (550 pages?) but at the moment I'm really enjoying it. I also got The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night Time, and a couple other books to read whilst I'm away which is good...

I doubt that I'll be able to get to a computer whilst I'm in Portugal, but I'l make sure to take lots of pictures and I'll see you in two weeks! x

  1. That's so cool! Trading makes me nervous, but I love the idea.

  2. They sound like great reads! It's definitely a nice idea but I am terrible at sorting out my clothes and figuring out whether I should give them away or not!

    Have a lovely holiday!

  7. This is so cool! I wonder how shipping works, though.

I LOVE that book, it's one of my all-time favorites. It really made me think, and I now see autism from a completely different perspective than I did before.
