He catches raindrops from his window they remind him how we fall

Seem to have gotten a few new followers recently. Salut.

I went shopping with Mother today, got some rather nice stuff for my holiday, an oversized, slightly sheer t-shirt dress thing from H&M (though it is the most wonderful AA copy) and another pair of fake wayfarers to add to my collection. Also bought this dress which is for a wedding, but I'm pretty sure i'm going to be wearing it a lot after that, especially come winter with tights (did I mention how excited about winter I am?). Anyways here it is...

Anyways, back to 'the holiday'. Am off to Portugal (and possibly Spain also) on Saturday! Really need to update the iPod though, any suggestions of what I should put on there? Also am going to the library tomorrow, have decided to have a look for Franny and Zooey and Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time (thanks Kait!) but if you have any more recommendations that'd be great, I tend to read a lot on holiday (:

Finally I feel like posting something really random, but weheartit is failing me tonight, so here's a quote from Chuck Palahnuik...

"Your handwriting. The way you walk. Which china pattern you choose. It's all giving you away. Everything you do shows your hand. Everything is a self-portrait. Everything is a diary."

  4. love this post - shooping with mother is always lovely (mine, not yours - not saying your mum isn't great - oh you know what i mean!)

For a new book, I recommend Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. I honestly read that book and cried/fell in love/laughed... it's won a few awards too i think!

Have you read A Clockwork Orange? I'm trying to read it, but I just can't get into it :(

  6. What a pretty dress!

I would put a lot of songs by the Kinks and the Kings of Leon on my ipod, if I were you, unless you already have them on there. Have a good trip!

No problem on the book suggestions : ) I have many more! Currently I just finished The Visibles by Sara Shepard which was superb.

Totally jealous you are going to Portugal! I love traveling and I haven't for a while. I need to get out and have some new adventures. Make sure you document the wonderful time I know you will be having!

Love the quote. Every part of is going out into the world is an imprint of our identity.

  13. That dress is cute! Your sheerish H&M AA knock-off sounds really stylish too.
P.S. The flower in my hair was just something random from a craft store--it could be a poppy, but I don't think it is any distinctive flower...
