Cross the road hold my hands

So maybe this a little belated seeing as it is Monday now, but on Friday I went to see Bloc Party!

The support band, Grammatics, who in truth I was sort of looking forward to seeing, turned out to be awful; although they had a cellist(!) not one of their songs had anything resembling a tune. But Bloc Party themselves were actually incredible. Kele looked absolutely gorgeous and every song (including some of the newer ones I've always said I didn't like) they played was awesome. Flux for one was absolutely MAGICAL. It was pretty packed and very sweaty and and there were people passing out all around me, but still I'd do anything to see them again!

I didn't take my camera on the night (the photo above was kindly donated by my good friend Lewis) and I forgot to take any pictures before I went but basically I wore my Topshop dress I blogged about before, with purple tights and plainish black flats that proved to be pretty good for dancing hahaa(:

Met a girl, thought she was the bee's knees

Saw this BEAUTIFUL Teen Vogue editorial on Amelia's blog earlier, and just knew I had to post it. I know Teen Vogue always do adorable couple shoots, but I think this has been my favourite yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on a copy tomorrow when I'm in Exeter. What are you all up to this weekend? I love that little game you had called, crying lightning

I know I should have really posted nearer the time, but Exeter on Saturday was really good! Unfortunately I forgot to take (or rather get Lynsey to take) an outfit picture but oh well. Here is a picture of her from the train ride home.

We did spend rather a long time in the Topshop sale, I think I tried on eleven things!? Anyway Lynsey bought this rather cool checked dress with a massive poofy skirt, and I got a new boyfriend shirt, a skirt and Barbara Hulanacki bag. I'd seen the bag before but thought £25 was pretty expensive, so I was pretty pleased to find it for £12. It's a really nice, summery colour and absolutely huge! I've been on work experience this week, and although it's been pretty boring, it has given me an excuse to wear everything!

Finally you know I mentioned getting an outfit for T4 on the beach? Here is the dress I got! It's from H&M and I really like it, though it's a bit long so hopefully soon I'm going to take it up a little. Here's a picture, anyway.

I'm sorry I haven't posted in so long, a week almost. I've had a pretty busy week in terms of schoolwork but otherwise it's been alright... I'll just say things are starting to come together now; I'm very, very happy.

I finished 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' by Stephen Chbosky, this week. It's easily the best book I've read in a while, although the main character reminded me of myself so much it was creeepy! What are your favourite books? I'm onto reading Barack Obama's autobiography now, and I really want to read some more 'classics', so The Great Gatsby and The Catcher In the Rye are next on my list - wish me luck! Haha I must sound like such a geek. Prose before hoes guys!

Anyway that's about it for this post, I'm sorry for the erm, lack of content - I only really posted because I felt guilty for not blogging all week up until now! I promise there will be more (and hopefully more interesting!) posts soon, if not this weekend. What are you all up to?

Three. Four. things.

1. Dan is now on blogspot... www.nuclearave.blogspot.com (I don't think he knows I've written this... yet).
2. Slumdog Millionaire was AMAZING! I went to the little cinema this time instead of the big out-of-town one (I actually preferred it) and went to Lorenzo's for nachos. Basically, I had a really good time.
3. When I've finished this cup of coffee, I think I'm going swimming with Fiona, and then later I'm off to Rosie's again - so probably more pictures to come soon!
4. I want a polaroid camera, just so I can stick them up like this on my wall.

What are you all doing this weekend ? I've not really been up to much today, just trying to get through a heap of schoolwork, tidying my room, and drinking tea really. However I am going to see Slumdog Millionaire tonight, am really rather excited (:
