Put on my radiation suit and slip away

How was your Christmas? Mine was really good, and I got loads of lovely presents, including jeans and a top from Topshop, a gorgeous black leather bag from Urban Outfitters, various bits and bobs for Thailand, Benefit makeup, a few really good albums (which I'll probably post about soon!) and the pink headphones I posted about before (:

Today with some of my money I hit the sales! I have to say I do rather like the idea of sales, though when it comes to it I always fail and end up going back to the newer expensive stock haha! I got a few little things in Accessorize, some shoes in New Look and this in Topshop...

Crop Top, £16

Skirt, £30 (It looks quite boring here but it's actually really nice!)

I also tried on this dress after gazing at it on the website a good few times, but it didn't fit properly. I was pretty upset actually as it's so lovely and would be perfect for Thailand! Oh well, more summer stuff will come out soon, and hopefully I should be able to get a job at some point!

I'm going to spend New Year in Cornwall with my boyfriend and some friends which I'm quite looking forward to, what are you up to? Happy New Year everyone! x

All crop tops and testosterone passion

Just an outfit from a few days ago. I love these tights so much! Sorry about the strange smile. And sorry about the lazy mirror picture. One of these days I might actually get a tripod.

Dress and belt - Primark, cardigan - H&M, heart tights - Topshop.

My boyfriend bought me Hold On Now, Youngster... by Los Campesinos! as part of my Christmas present and I've been listening to it solidly for the last few days. Even if you don't like the band, you've got to say they have some amazing lyrics.

And I always get confused, because in supermarkets they turn the lights off when they want you to leave, but in discos they turn them on, and it's always sad to go, but it's never that sad, because there's only certain places you're guaranteed of getting a hug when you go, and on the way home, it seems like a good idea to go paddle in the fountain, and that's because it IS a good idea, and it's like we're all human, and the state of nature, we're undeveloped, we're ignorant, we're stupid, but we're happy.

This may well be my last post for a while, so Merry Christmas everyone! x

Planes and trains and cars

my christmas wishlist

Here's my Christmas wishlist... lots of clothes from Topshop and Urban Outfitters, Panasonic RP-HTX7 headphones in pink, cute little necklaces, a few new-ish albums, the Nylon Street book, Marc Jacobs Lola, pretty underwear, Polaroid film and some new glasses. I can only hope, haha. What's on your wishlist this year?

It's my last day of school tomorrow, I'm so excited! And only eight sleeps to go after tonight! x

House made of paper

A few weeks ago I discovered this great site, Fashion Confidential, and I was just wondering if any of you had heard of it before?

It sells designer clothing, through stores like Matches and Net-a-Porter, so you can easily browse a massive selection of clothes, shoes and bags. There is literally hundreds of designers to choose from, including Burberry, Balmain, Chloe, Marc Jacobs and Vivienne Westwood to name but a few.

However what makes it different is that there's so much more than shopping. This site doesn't just sell, but it helps you find ideas and great bargains both on the web and on the high street. The boutique directory is full of old favourites, as well as great new stores, and the Bargain Hunter section is genius. It has details of all the best designer sample sales and a calendar showing all the dates. It also picks out the best individual items from websites like The Outnet, Matches Style Steals and Browns Labels for Less.

The Style Report section is essentially a blog of the site, full of beautiful photos and celebrity inspiration, I'm already addicted! Also one of the editorial features at the moment is an interview with the designers from Preen, which I loved reading, and there's also a little list of blogs I'm sure you'll love if you don't already know them!

However my favourite part of the website is definitely the new magazine. Although I love savouring a good issue of Vogue, I think online magazines, or e-zines, are the future and this one is great. It contains loads of catwalk photos, style tips, designer interviews and the hottest new pieces all linked to stores where you can buy them. This month's issue is packed full of great Christmas gifts and outfit ideas - if only I could afford some of it!

I hope you enjoyed this post - now click here to visit Fashion Confidential!

Coming towards her, stuck still no turning back

Sorry it's been a while, school has been really hectic these last few weeks. However I have had some amazing weekends: I've been to Bristol and Oxford and seen Lily Allen! Over a hundred followers now too, be back soon people! x

Let's all meet up in the year 2000, won't it be strange when we're all fully grown

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I was ill at the weekend and have had what seems like mountains of school work recently. Anyways I just wanted to share these few songs with you, saw the first one on NMEtv tonight and have suddenly become obsessed with her, Ellie Goulding. Was actually gutted to find out her album isn't out until June next year! The second song was produced by Frankmusik, who to be honest I'm not a great fan of, but I have to say it is lovely. Anyways I hope you like them, and keep checking back as I do actually have some better posts scheduled soon!

Cross the road hold my hands

So maybe this a little belated seeing as it is Monday now, but on Friday I went to see Bloc Party!

The support band, Grammatics, who in truth I was sort of looking forward to seeing, turned out to be awful; although they had a cellist(!) not one of their songs had anything resembling a tune. But Bloc Party themselves were actually incredible. Kele looked absolutely gorgeous and every song (including some of the newer ones I've always said I didn't like) they played was awesome. Flux for one was absolutely MAGICAL. It was pretty packed and very sweaty and and there were people passing out all around me, but still I'd do anything to see them again!

I didn't take my camera on the night (the photo above was kindly donated by my good friend Lewis) and I forgot to take any pictures before I went but basically I wore my Topshop dress I blogged about before, with purple tights and plainish black flats that proved to be pretty good for dancing hahaa(:

Met a girl, thought she was the bee's knees

Saw this BEAUTIFUL Teen Vogue editorial on Amelia's blog earlier, and just knew I had to post it. I know Teen Vogue always do adorable couple shoots, but I think this has been my favourite yet. Hopefully I'll be able to get my hands on a copy tomorrow when I'm in Exeter. What are you all up to this weekend? Also, before I hop off to bed, just wanted to say hi and thanks to all my new followers! Not including bloglovin', I have 80 now(: x

Remember cuddles in the kitchen yeah, to get things off the ground

I spent the weekend with my boyfriend and my two best friends (separately, not all together), which was lovely, and so far this weeks been gooood. I'm definitely going back to Thailand now, in February next year! The flights are all booked up and everything; I'm actually so excited I could burst. Also I now have my ticket, and dress for Bloc Party. It's this one, though I promise I'll post some pictures soon...

Why does Urban Outfitters have to be so expensive? And why do they have to bring out such nice new stuff just as I have money, and have to save it? x

P.S Can't decide whether I love or hate this. Thoughts?

Meccano

Finally, an actual post about London Fashion Week! This is probably the weirdest selection of designers ever, but here are just a couple of shows that caught my eye (it's probably best to click on the pictures to make them bigger)...

LUELLA. I didn't think this was quite as good as their last few collections, but still gorgeous. All the heart shapes, polka dots, bows... And Alexa Chung has worn that last dress already!

LOUISE GRAY. New to LFW I believe, but definitely 'one to watch'. It's all so fun and colourful, and that first dress is just epic!

CHRISTOPHER KANE. Definitely really different to Luella and Louise Gray, but still amazing. The gingham and lace and everything together; beautiful yet dark at the same time.

Of course that's only three, a few more favourites were Erdem, Clements Ribeiro and Vivienne Westwood (: I have quite a few ideas for future posts so keep checking back! x

Stop me if you think that you've heard this one before

I'm sorry I haven't written in forever, life's been so busy recently! For two weeks I hosted a Spanish student (which was great fun, by the way) and since then I seem to have had TONS of schoolwork and stuff to do so yeah, not had a lot of time for blogging! On the plus side, after having a bit of a break now it seems like for once I've actually got lots and lots of things in my head to write about, with all the major fashion weeks and everythingggg (: However right now doesn't seem like the best time to start writing... I promise I'll be back with a proper fashion week post before this week's ended though!

Sheila goes out with her mate Stella

Would it be stupid to dedicate a whole post to one ELLE issue? Well, this month's, October if I'm right, was actually amazing! And I actually mean that, I'm not just talking about Lily Allen (I'll get onto that later, don't you worry) the whole of it was really good, I'm still sat flicking through it now. Even the usually rubbish supplement part was good. Good good good good good. Undeground posters (soon to be up on my wall), Pete Doherty interview (rather in love with him now) and Kaya Scodelario/Effy shoot (just the slightest bit jealous she's only two years older than me!), it was all awesome. Basically, just GO BUY IT NOW!

Anyways, here are some pictures I managed to scrounge off the internet of the Lily Allen editorial, shot by Rankin. Maybe I should be talking about the new blondeness (cue the Debbie Harry references...) but it was the other pictures I really liked; I'm super excited about seeing her live now. The last picture is my favourite though, the lace leggings, the t-shirt, the messy hair, the tatoos, the cigarette. She looks absolutely gorgeous, no?
